All interested artists are invited to paint en plein air with Hai-Ou Hau; plein air artist, workshop instructor, and judge for Paint Main 2.5. Don’t miss this fabulous evening of outdoor painting and camaraderie. This is a rare opportunity to paint at the historic Little England Plantation in Gloucester County, Virginia. Follow a cedar-lined lane past a pecan grove to the circa 1716 brick Georgian home set along one mile of water frontage. The estate is located on a point of land bounded by the York River and Sarah’s Creek looking out toward a marina to the west. In addition, Little England is a 58 acre working farm. Other painting options include gardens, quaint outbuildings, barns, horses, sheep, ducks, a pig, chickens, dogs and cats.
Artists may choose to display their Nocturne paintings from May 23 – May 28 at Stewart Gallery, 6655 Main Street, Gloucester Courthouse. Stewart Gallery will exhibit these Nocturne Paint Out paintings as part of the plein air exhibition and sale in the gallery during the Festival week. Ask your friends to stop by Stewart Gallery during the Festival week to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award. Plan to attend the Friday night Gala for the announcement of the Nocturne Quick Draw People’s Choice Award winner.
